ONE Reefer Container

Refrigerated container is a container with insulation material, equipped with refrigeration unit.
Refrigerated containers can maintain the temperature inside the storage as desired.
It is possible to maintain the temperature inside the hold even under severe external air condition, helping to maintain the quality of the cargo.


Transportation is done while maintaining the temperature, therefore quality preservation of various cargoes becomes possible.
Transportation of various cargo is possible including plants, photographic film, precision instruments, medicines, and foods for example raw meat, fresh fish, dairy products, vegetables and fruits.


By combining the advantages of thoroughly managed and maintained fleets and  progressive technology and knowledge, transportation of customer's cargo with higher speed and efficiency became possible. Temperature control

The temperature setting range of the refrigerated containers can be set in units of 0.1 ° C between -30 ° C and + 30 ° C. The set temperature and internal temperature are digitally displayed on the controller.

Accurate temperature control made it possible to transport various items ranging from frozen fish and shellfish, which had been long considered difficult, to precision instruments.



Fruits and vegetables maintain their respiration even after the harvest. Like human beings, it breathes in oxygen and exhales carbon dioxide. Though this action, it concurrently releases respiratory fever and moisture and also releases ethylene gas. Gas such as carbon dioxide and ethylene cause discoloration of fruits and vegetables and unnecessary ripening, and there are disadvantages of shortening cargo's freshness and the storage period.

Therefore, it is desirable to remove these gases, ventilation will be needed to change the internal air of the hold. ONE's refrigeration container is equipped with a ventilation opening and can be adjusted within the range of 0 to 250 m 3 / h.

Since each cargo has its own respiration volume, ethylene production amount, also the sensitivity to ethylene, the volume of ventilation needs to be arranged according to the cargo.


Dehumidification control

In addition to temperature control, humidity control is also required in case of transporting bulbs.

When there is a large amount of moisture (humidity) in the surroundings, bulb may sprout early and may cause mould. In order to prevent such matters, it is necessary to lower the humidity, but excessive lowering may cause bulb to deteriorate.
To maintain the quality while preventing germination and mold, it is always necessary to secure a certain degree of humidity.

Therefore, refrigerated container with a dehumidifying function will be serviceable.

The dehumidification container of ONE can be set within the range of 60% to 95% RH, and by applying suitable dehumidification setting, bulbs can be safely transported.

Recently this method is applied to transporting paintings and precision machinery with low resistance to moisture.

Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI)

The containers we provide for the service, will all have passed the preliminary inspection called PTI.


Inspections conducted here are to examine the cleanliness of containers, the damages and the condition of refrigeration unit.

All the containers which are in services will have passed the PTI.


Pre-cooling of cargo


Refrigerated containers are used for pre-cooled and frozen cargo.
Generally, refrigerated containers have full capacity to maintain the temperature of cargo, although not enough for quick-freezing.
Therefore, if the cargo is not sufficiently cooled, there is a possibility of damaging the cargo. Cooling the cargo thoroughly before loading the cargo in the refrigerated container is very important both in maintaining the quality of cargo and preventing the damage.


Air circulation


In the refrigerated container, cold air circulates to wrap around the cargo.
To maintain this air flow, refrigerated container has rails called T-rails laid on the floor.
The cold air blown out from the freezing unit is blown into the T rail from the bottom of the unit and goes towards the door side. The cool air reaches the door, rises, passes through the top of the cargo and returns to the unit.

A red line is drawn on the wall inside the refrigerated container. It shows load restriction and indicates not to load cargo up to the height beyond the line.
The red line is drawn near the ceiling and the door side. If you load more cargo than the restriction line, it may lead to a poor air circulation and may not be able to maintain the cold temperature of the cargo.
Please be sure to load it within the red line.




If cargo loading is not appropriate, it may block the flow of the cool air and cause hot spots.

Please note that loading as shown below may cause the hot spots.

Controlled Atmosphere (CA)

The harvested fruits and vegetables have begun to deteriorate from the moment of harvesting, and the freshness gradually decreases. Therefore, storing harvested fruits and vegetables is very challenging.
To prevent freshness from lowering, there is a system called CA.

CA is a technology that can extend the storage period of fruits and vegetables by adjusting the oxygen concentration and carbon dioxide concentration inside the hold.
Depending on the type of vegetables and fruits, there is a suitable oxygen concentration and carbon dioxide concentration, and by keeping it at that concentration during the transportation period the quality of the cargo is also secured.

CA system provided by ONE
We add a CA system to the refrigerated containers to guard freshness of fruits and vegetables.

Two types of CA containers are available at ONE.

Active Type: By filling the container with nitrogen gas, it actively reduce the oxygen concentration and promptly arrange the CA environment
Passive Type: Arranges the CA environment by using the respiration of the cargo


★ Active Type

  • EverFRESH

    After reaching the optimum level of the CA environment, it makes the following adjustments and maintain CA environment in the hold.

    • When lowering the oxygen concentration, supply high purity nitrogen

    • When raising the oxygen concentration, supply air from the ventilation opening or supply low purity nitrogen

    • Depend on the respiratory of the cargo itself when raising the carbon dioxide concentration

    • When lowering the concentration of dioxide, increase the supply amount of nitrogen and discharge extra CO2


    After reaching the optimum level of the CA environment, it makes the following adjustments and maintain CA environment in the hold.

    • When lowering the oxygen concentration, actively reduce the oxygen concentration to 8% using VPSA method, and then utilize the respiratory of the cargo to lower the oxygen concentration

    • When raising the oxygen concentration, ventilate automatically and supply oxygen

    • When increasing the carbon dioxide concentration, use the respiratory of the cargo

    • Ventilation starts automatically as the carbon dioxide concentration rises
      and discharge carbon dioxide


★ Passive Type

    After reaching the optimum level of the CA environment, it makes the following adjustments and maintain CA environment in the hold.

    • Decrease oxygen concentration by cargo respiratory

    • Increase oxygen concentration by manipulating automatic ventilation valves

    • Increase carbon dioxide concentration by cargo respiratory

    • Reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide in the cabinet by passing through a special filter called membrane filter
